Sheffield headquartered SMH Financial Services have added three new team members in recent months to meet increasing client demands and workloads.
SMH Financial Services was set up in 2015 as part of Sutton McGrath Hartley Accounting & Business Advisory, enabling the firm to offer financial planning advice to their existing client base. Since then the Financial Services department has gone from strength to strength with a team of 7 now servicing an ever expanding group of clients.
With a complete range of financial solutions on offer to both businesses and individuals, the expanding team has specialist advisors covering pensions, wealth management, taxation planning and protection.
Simon Turner, Partner at SMH Financial Services comments: “We have experienced rapid growth over the past 4 years since I was brought in to set up and lead the Financial Services department, and we have now got to a stage where we needed to add to the team to meet the increasing demand from our clients.
“With the SMH group of companies going through numerous acquisitions of other firms over the past two years, this has given the Financial Services department a completely new client bank to work with.
“One of the key strategies for SMH as a whole is being able to offer a complete range of financial services within one group of companies, meaning clients don’t have to seek out multiple advisers for different areas of advice. Our service offering fits perfectly with the overall objectives of the firm, as well as the other companies in the group.”
New additions to the team in the latter part of 2019 include Andrew Huby, an experienced Financial Adviser, Isobel Hall, a graduate Financial Planning Assistant, and the latest addition Jared Beaumont, who joins as a Financial Planning Assistant having gained 11 years’ experience in the financial services sector, specialising in both corporate and personal protection.
Jared Beaumont comments: “I’m delighted to join the ever expanding team at SMH Financial Services. My experience with protection and insurance is a good fit, as this will allow the firm to focus more of its efforts on this part of the service area.

In addition to the new recruits, Oliver Weaver has been promoted to Financial Planning Analyst. Oliver initially joined SMH Financial Services in 2017 as a Financial Planning Assistant.
