This means that the fee increases aim exclusively to cover the expenses of the services, without the intention of generating a profit.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Incorporation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Currently, the cost of registering a company with Companies House ranges from \u00a310 to \u00a340, depending on the channel used. With fees increasing across-the-board from registration to exit, increased costs include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Online registration for a business or limited liability partnership:<\/strong> this is normally completed within 24 hours at the cost of \u00a312. However, online registration fees will rise to \u00a350, an uplift of 300%.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Same-day incorporation:<\/strong> the fee for this service is going up from \u00a330 to \u00a378.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Voluntary striking off:<\/strong> When a company is no longer required, voluntary striking off will now incur a fee of \u00a333; it is currently \u00a38.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Overseas entities: <\/strong>the largest increases apply to overseas entities who need to register with Companies House. The registration fee goes up from \u00a3100 to \u00a3234, with the removal fee increasing to \u00a3706 from \u00a3400.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Many people set up a new company through a company formation agent. Their most basic offerings only add a small margin to the Companies House charge. This means the fees charged by agents are going to see similar increases come 1 May.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Confirmation statements<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Every company, including dormant companies, must file a confirmation statement at least once a year. The cost is currently \u00a313 and rising to \u00a334. This fee, at least, covers a 12-month period.
