South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire based Accounting & Business Advisory and Trust & Estate Practitioners, Sutton McGrath Hartley have doubled the size of their Wills & Probate team after a recent recruitment drive.
Joining the team are Katy Burgin, Solicitor and Hannah Berridge, Associate Legal Executive. The pair have been brought in to add further knowledge and skill sets to complement the existing team, and deal with increased workloads as a result of the firm’s marketing and business development drives.
Katy Burgin, a former Partner of a local law firm for the past 10 years, brings with her 14 years’ experience in the private client legal sector, and comments: “Joining a firm with a full service offering in accountancy and financial advisory means we can offer a more rounded service to our clients.
“Being able to utilise the knowledge of tax and financial planning specialists is not something a law firm usually has access to in house. This valuable advice results in all of our clients receiving the best possible added value service, and helps us to set ourselves apart from the competition.”
Hannah Berridge, who joins from a national law firm having 8 years’ experience as a Legal Executive, adds “Working for a local independent firm holds more appeal to me after coming from a large national firm. It will allow me to work more closely with the firm’s clients, which in turn will give me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge of the private client sector by handling all private client law rather than just the niche areas I was focusing on before.”

The new recruits for Sutton McGrath Hartley will be based across their three offices in Sheffield, Rotherham and Chesterfield.
